01 / ENGINEERING

Engineering overview

Nameplate power alone is not enough. Duty rating, power factor, motor starting, and future growth all affect the selection. Start with a load inventory separating continuous demand, motors and UPS inputs. Review the final selection against the planned load sequence and the selected model?s load acceptance curves.

Design considerations

Coincident loads and priorities; starting sequence; altitude and ambient temperature; nonlinear loads; expansion allowance.

03 / DELIVERABLES

Engineering deliverables

Load calculation summary, proposed kW and kVA ratings, derating assumptions, and candidate sets for final review.
